The Maryland Statistical Analysis Center (MdSAC) is the research, development and evaluation component of the Governor's Office of Crime Control & Prevention (GOCCP). Part of a national network of state Statistical Analysis Centers, MdSAC serves as a repository for knowledge and tools pertaining to crime and the criminal justice systems of Maryland. Objective, independent, and data driven, MdSAC seeks, evaluates, and publicizes Maryland's promising practices in public safety. Through its annual Research Program, MdSAC solicits seasoned researchers to examine local policies and practices that will inform the policies and practices of the Governor and the State of Maryland.
