Maryland State Board of Victim Services
Mission Statement
To ensure that all crime victims in the State of Maryland receive justice and are treated with dignity and compassion through comprehensive victim services.
What We Do
The State Board of Victims Services and the Victim Services Coordinator:
- Monitor, assess, coordinate state and local efforts to assist victims of crime and
- Make recommendations concerning development of a comprehensive and coordinated delivery of victim services throughout the Maryland criminal justice process.
Board initiatives:
- Victim Information Notification Everyday (VINE)
- Victim Rights Compliance Initiative
- Roper Victim Assistance Academy of Maryland
The Maryland Victims of Crime (MVOC) Fund provides:
- Administrative personnel
- Grants that provide direct services for crime victims
- Mandated brochures
- Forms that provide vital information for victims of crime.
